Alright, I admit it. I'm probably on the top 10 list of most indecisive people in the world. Especially when it comes to blog backgrounds.However.
Considering the recent trend toward shorter titles (in YA), I came up with a few. Yea/Nay's are appreciated.
SLS1: Gone SLS2: Torn SLS3: Worthy (New titles)
SLS1: Stabbing Shadows SLS2: Lunaquarius SLS3: Glimmersea (Old titles)
I might even head over to photobucket and whip up a few covers with these new titles... just trying to look at things from a marketing perspective. While the longer titles have a more precise connection to the story, the shorter ones are easier to remember.Sample covers coming soon...

I'm the same. I change my mind a lot on titles. You are right. It's hard to ignore the short titles in YA at the moment though.
From the new ones I like TORN.
Gone is great but it is a bit like Michael Grant's YA novel title.
In your old titles I like Stabbing Shadows.
Looking forward to the covers. :)
I like Torn, too. Very evocative.
I hadn't realized the trend, I see it now when I start thinking about it.
It's good to look at your books from a marketing perspective, but I think you just need to go with the ones that fit your books and you like =) (Your editor will probably want you to change it anyway.)
I personally like your old titles better (really, really pretty!) and would probably rather pick up those books than ones with the new titles. Gone, Torn and Worthy are words emos use a lot in their poetry, blah. (No offense meant here.)
My WIPs actually have short titles! But that's just a coincidence, I just thought they fitted. After seeing your fresh, long old titles, I might start rethinking ;)
But I mean, hey, for marketing purposes, maybe I'll just hold on to the short ones since that's apparently all the rage now and I followed the trend accidentally ;)
Yes, I still love my old titles... I just thought of TORN and considered changing all of them. Thanks!
I love your titles. :P Besides, it's not like Stabbing Shadows is incredibly long. Plus it's got alliteration. You gotta love that. :P
